Derbyshire Carers Association is on the move!
Our Head Office, White House, The Willows in Ripley, has been provided ex-gratia by Derbyshire County Council for nearly three decades. Due to various circumstances we are now moving to nearby offices in the Ripley area. This move, coupled with working in a flexible, innovative and mobile manner within the community, will add huge value to the services we provide to the army of Carers in Derbyshire.
Derby City
In Derby City, DCA have moved from offices on Babington Lane to accommodation at Pride Park – Ground Floor, 22 Mallard Way DE24 8GX (Our contact details remain the same). We aim to develop a new carer drop-in Centre, in the City Centre and will, as ever keep you posted.
Outreach and Innovation
DCA are developing exciting, innovative ways of helping Carers. These include pop-up Carer Centres across the City working in partnership with the Local Authorities, GP practices and Hospitals. We are where you need us – in your local pharmacies, at Age UK, The MS Centre, and we are working alongside other partners to develop an effective outreach service continuing our proactive campaign to reach Carers. Our provision in the county will continue to include a busy Carers Centre at 69 West Bars, Chesterfield.
We are also developing a stronger on-line presence and are highlighting our successes such as our recent Health Service Journal and British Medical Awards nominations for carer identification and support.
We will continue the successful development of our engagement initiatives with Carers in Derbyshire and have ensured all Carers, partners and stakeholders are fully informed and supported.

Our current relocations and new, innovative ways of reaching out to Carers reinforce the fact that DCA goes from strength to strength. These are exciting times for the Association and for sustained Carer support in Derbyshire.”
